1. What are the important highlights you learned about your topic(s)?about my topic I learned a theory I was not aware of , expectancy theory. I believe that every learner can be motivated a bit and its not a bad thing to use the theory component to help motivate the learners 2. What did you learn about facilitating a forum? I learned that a forum can be informational , fun and it can bring an online class together as far as facilitation I learned that I need to contribute to the posts by others in order to keep it alive and flowing 3. What did you do to encourage your classmate’s contributions and participations? I used questions to provide something to think about and to answer in the post reply. I also try to reply to each post in a manner specific to the individuals thoughts to keep the discussion a bit personal and active 4. How and what did you contribute to the other discussion forums? I contributed by putting my thoughts in to the forum as well as reading others reply 5. Identify 2 or more things you learned from the other discussion forums? - Introverts need more attention , and we as educators need to be aware of them and consider accommodating their style of learning as well so they can have a fair chance at learning - The flipped classroom is a great way to get your students prepared for the course before starting , by allowing them to get a couple steps ahead by starting the learning process in advance and ahead of time before entering the class. the learners can come to class with a mind full of info and questions. and the time in class can be used in an efficient manner. the teacher doesn't have to introduce the topic.its may be a great contribution to the learning. why is self-assessment so important? I was amazed to find these six best kept secrets for learning in our text.
1. Self-assessment increases people’s openness to learning 2. Self-assessment develops and sharpens work-related skill 3. Self-assessment foster responsibility 4. Self-assessment fosters greater reliance on internal criteria 5. Self-assessment increases self-awareness 6. Self-assessment enhances a sense of direction
